KNIT : Atkins

Introducing the Atkins!

The Atkins is a simple textured cowl featuring a series of slipped stitches that create a lovely zig-zag texture. It’s worked flat with super bulky yarn so it knits up quickly and is sure to keep the wearer warm. Two buttons allow for a lot of customization with styling. (Pattern also includes directions for a five button option, making the cowl fully closable.)
The yarn I used was hand dyed and purchased locally from a woman named Hope. The midnight blues and purples reminded me of the album covers of one of my favorite artists, Nicole Atkins.

KNIT : Merrow Set

Introducing the Merrow Set. I was asked to design a pattern for the September Yarn Crush box. The Stitch Please yarn reminded me of mermaids and the ocean. Both the fingerless mitts and hat feature an allover scale-inspired texture and the rolled hems mimic waves. Both can also be made with just one skein of fingering weight yarn.
