I'm very excited to share my latest knitting pattern! To keep up with my series honoring the women who came before me, this particular hat was inspired by another Great Grandmother, this time, my Mother's Father's Mother. It's a simple, snug beanie that features two textural patterns that mimic a basket weave. It's inspired by Clara May (who actually hated the name Clara and went by just May!) and how she was an essential thread in our family's woven history on this farm. You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry here.
This pattern requires C2F and C2B stitches. In the video above, I share a shortcut on how to work them, quickly and easily, without a cable needle.
This video is also the first time I've spoken in front of a camera like this. All of the podcasts I've been watching lately (like Fuzzy Love Knots and Mandarine's) must have finally given me the courage to do so! Do you watch podcasts? Would you be interested if I did some?
